Mark is an award-winning writer/director/producer. He is also the founder of MAD Resilience Films in where he has written, directed and produced 28 short films and theatre productions.
In 2014, his film Basted won Best International Film at the Milledgeville Film Festival. That was the first of a slew of accolades he collected for his subsequent films White Lock and Still Closed. He has received over 110 official selections on the festival circuit in France, Germany, Canada, India, the US and the UK. He has also been a featured panelist in Atlanta and Toronto, where he discussed the art of Writing a Short Film, and Diversity in the Film Industry.
In 2016 Mark made his French-language directorial debut with the dysfunctional family drama “Pardonnez-moi Mon Père” (Forgive Me Father), and the dark psychological parody "Mismatch and Lighter". Future productions include "Oksana and Viktor", about ex lovers who maintain an ill-fated long distance friendship, and “Limited", an examination of a tormented mother's attempt to reconcile her differences with her abusive son.
Angelica Alejandro has progressively pursued work in front and behind the camera. She is an active member of the film/television community with Raindance, We Make Movies Canada and WildSound. She also participates in the local films festivals through her work as a moderator and live read actor. She loves roles that challenge her, and has also learned a lot from working behind the camera moving from script supervisor to A.D. to Producer. She is in debt to Mark for allowing her to explore and grow as an actor as well as a member of production.
Samantha Kaine is an actor, independent producer and writer of great scope and versatility. Born in Jamaica, Samantha came to Canada at the age of 5 and has lived in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto. Samantha has worked in film and television production for over 15 years.
Along with producing an original play entitled "Sheets" in 2017 to great reviews, she is currently in development to produce the short film The Women of Alpine Road, a co-production between her company Red11 Productions, and MAD Resilience Films.
Samantha is a Canadian/Italian actress whose passion for the Theatre ignited after watching Gene Kelly in “Singing in the Rain”. She studied her craft at well known schools such as Randolph Academy and the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts. Samantha's passion for acting is not limited to being in front of the camera or on stage. She consistently works as an Editor & Producer in independent films.
Sarah Cunningham is a versatile actress and producer. Her debut with MAD Resilience was in 2012 in the short film “Six Degrees Without Separation”. She starred in “Venke Daryl Daryl Venke”, and the award-winning films “Basted” and “White Lock”. It was her portrayal of an off-kilter highly competitive roommate in “Basted” where she was nominated for Best Actress at the Gwinnett Film Festival in Atlanta. In 2015 she is co-producing the short films “Notwithstanding” and “Sorry For Coming”
